Ben Murphy joined Independent Pipe & Supply in October 2021 as the Inventory Control Manager. There he developed leadership skills and gained a deep understanding of warehouse operations. This foundation proved invaluable when he transitioned into the Sales department in June 2024. Now Ben is advancing into Outside Sales where he will focus on building strong relationships, delivering exceptional service, and driving continued success for his customers and the company.

A Weymouth native, Ben attended BC High before earning a degree in International Business and Chinese at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. He later pursued a Master’s Degree in International Business in China, but when the pandemic brought him back to the U.S., he forged a new path. Though he no longer uses Mandarin daily, he recognizes that the discipline and persistence required to master a language are the same qualities he now applies to learning a new one—the language of pipes, valves, and fittings (PVF). He is committed to deepening his industry expertise and growing alongside Independent Pipe.
Outside of work, Ben is always on the move. Whether skiing, fishing, running, or training at the gym, he takes full advantage of every season New England offers. At the office, he has earned a reputation for always having something to eat and has developed an appreciation for exploring new foods from different cultures.
