Joel Fredrickson began working as an Inside Sales Representative at Independent Pipe in Somerville, MA, in July 2023. He grew up on a farm outside Poughkeepsie, New York, and studied mathematics at Dutchess Community College and Binghamton University. Before joining IPS, Joel worked in the parts department at Arkel Motors, an international truck dealership where he started as a driver but eventually took on responsibilities in shipping and receiving.

Joel shares, “What I enjoy most about my role at IPS is the wide range of knowledge and skills I acquire and apply. I’m always learning something new, whether it’s how to handle a situation, nuances with an account, or details about our products. With our team’s quality and location in Somerville, I believe we have tremendous potential for growth. I am eager to contribute to that process in any way possible.”
Joel resides in Somerville, MA, while his parents, siblings, niece and nephew all live in New York.
Outside of work, Joel enjoys camping and hiking. He is new to New England and excited to explore the mountains, camps, and lakes the region offers.
