Kevin Smith joined Independent Pipe in October 2023 as an Outside Sales Representative in Albany, New York. Growing up in Clifton Park, New York, Kevin graduated from SUNY Oneonta and earned his MBA from Fordham University and University of Albany. He previously worked as an Account Executive at Grainger, Iron Mountain, in purchasing at Brown Brothers Harriman and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Kevin shared, “At IPS Albany, I’ve seen strong bonds with our customers. There’s a sense of pride in caring for everyone who contacts us. I’m fortunate to have supportive colleagues guiding me, and I look forward to contributing to our growth in Albany.”
Kevin’s commitment to problem-solving has quickly become a valuable asset. His dedication and willingness to go the extra mile will undoubtedly drive the company’s growth.
Outside of work, Kevin’s life revolves around his family. He and his wife Cathie, together for 25 years, live in Clifton Park with their four children and their golden retriever, Bailey. Kevin enjoys bass fishing on Lake George, coaching and playing soccer, and rooting for the Manchester City soccer club. He loves music, attending concerts, and has run several NYC Marathons and is aiming for the Boston Marathon next year. As the youngest of seven kids, he cherishes time with his large extended family in the Northeast.
