On September 19th Independent Pipe hosted their official Grand Opening of their Windsor, Connecticut branch at 134 Addison Road. The new facility is 27,000 square feet, equipped with 18’ high racks and a pipe cantilever system that spans the length of the building. The expanded counter area offers customers the ability to shop for many of the smaller items that they can carry out, then they can drive their truck into the warehouse to load up their clean pipe that has been kept out of the elements.
The extra square footage enables Independent the opportunity to increase stock levels with an expanded product mix resulting in increased fill rates to better serve customers’ immediate needs. The extra size also brought on more resources to increase productivity and service levels. The addition of an extra truck and a Moffett piggyback lift provide faster, earlier deliveries to more locations. The ability to offload pipe and large orders on job sites increases productivity and cuts cost for customers.
The staff in the Windsor branch and the company as a whole were credited for the expansion, for if not their superior customer service the rapid growth of this location could not have been possible. Brian Olesnivich, the Branch manager said, “I am so fortunate to have a dedicated, service orientated staff, one that personalizes every order and so much support from all the great employees throughout the company. Each member gives 110% each day & today’s grand opening is a testament to them. On top of that, we thank each and every one of our loyal customers as they made this all possible. Success is a very symbiotic relationship, one that we revere.”
The Grand Opening was a celebratory event enjoyed by all. Grilla something Good, the specialty food truck served up gourmet eats all day along with The NoRa Cupcake Company who amazed everyone with the most creative cupcakes for dessert. No one left with an empty stomach nor empty-handed. Independent Pipe SWAG was a hit including embroidered winter hats and four lucky winners who won the raffle for Patriots tickets.
The company’s motto “Simply Fulfilled” was clearly on display in the new signage but the outpouring of customer support was proof that the employees of Independent Pipe are dedicated to their success. It is woven into the culture and aims to fulfill the demands of customers with over the top service so they can get on with their business. The company principals are dedicated to replicating this success throughout New England and New York in the years to come.
